Officially launched by the Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia on 12^th July 2005, Xtion Paintball Park is located at a strategic area at the beautiful Family Park in the midst of our National Sports Complex.

At Xtion Paintball Park, we provide world class and the latest facilities. We are the one and only international size tournament field in Malaysia that can accommodate a 3, 5, 7 or 10 a-side tourney. We are the only operator in Malaysia with six (6) sets of air ball fields.

What is Paintball?
Paintball is a game of tag using paintball markers. There are several type of plays such as recreational, scenario, and tournament paintball. It is being played by people from all walks of life ranging from children right up to adults.

History
The first paintballs were created in the 1950s for forestry service use in marking trees from a distance, and were also used by cattlemen to mark cows. Two decades later, paintballs were used in a survival game between two friends in the woods of Henniker, New Hampshire, USA, and paintball as a sport was born.

Paintball Equipment

Goggle System
The most important rule in paintball is that all players must wear a protective goggle system or mask at all times when they are playing or near other people who are playing. Paintball masks are specifically designed for the sport, and the goggles are capable of withstanding a direct hit from a paintball traveling at well over 300 feet per second (90 m/s), the safety limit adopted by paintball marker manufacturers.

Barrel Blocking Device All players must use some sort of barrel blocking device on their paintball marker when not actively playing. These devices generally take the form of a small bag, commonly known as a barrel sock or barrel cover, which covers the front end of the barrel and is held in place by an elastic cord looped around the paintball marker. The barrel sock thus catches any paintballs that may be accidentally fired.

Chest Protector A chest protector distributes the impact of a paintball over a large surface area, providing protection to players during a paintball game.

Paintballs Paintballs, also simply called "paint", are spherical gelatin capsules containing primarily polyethylene glycol, other non-toxic and water-soluble substances, and dye. Most common paintballs are sized 0.68 caliber.

Marker Paintball markers must not fire paintballs that exceed a certain velocity. The industry standard maximum velocity for safe play is 300 feet per second (90 m/s). Many commercial paintball facilities like Xtion Paintball Park mandate a lower velocity, usually around 280 feet per second (85.4 m/s, 307 km/h or 191 mph) or less.

Hopper/Loader This device is connected to the paintball marker and functions as the “magazine” to store up to 200 paintballs.

Compressed Air / CO2 Air Systems We offer the latest air systems with the introduction of Compressed Air System which enables your shots to hit more accurately. We also provide CO2 Air Systems at our paintball facility for those who prefer a lighter tank.

What to wear for a paintball game?
Please wear proper attire for a game of paintball:- Long sleeved shirt,
long pants, sports shoes and a cap.
