RATES: RM 215 per tank
VALID FOR:  5 Years

PROCEDURE:Send your tank to Xtion's office in Subang before the 26th of each month.You will collect your tested tank on the 15th of the following month.

compressed air tanks been around our paintball scene for like 4-5yrs now.. i think it's time for most of those tanks bought during the early days to be hydro-tested, whether it is still with the ori owner or sold to someone else... please check ur tank, ppl..

mine's gonna expired by 3rd quarter of this yr.. will send it in right after wilayah cup so it would be in time for the next tourney...

Hiya,

I live and play paintball in New Zealand, I have a 48/3000 Luxfer P08-f Tank that needs to be Hydro'ed. Dont hate me I bought it second hand and its like 6 years out of test.
Due to law changes in NZ the tank was made illegal before it could be re-hydro'ed, which means I cannot have it tested in NZ.
Is it possible to send it to malaysia (my team is looking at going to PALS 2010) to be hydro'ed, or hydro'ed when we get there for the tournament?

Also roughly how much to hydro it?

We need to get at least 5 tanks to go in at the same time and it cost something like RM 250(about USD 73) per tank to get it re hydroed.
Might be worthwhile to conder buying a new one if yours is pretty run down..

Thanks for the reply. The tank isnt actually run down, its been babied most of its life and just needs to be hydro'ed and its about NZ$350 to buy a new tank.
The law change made it illegal to hydro all except 2 paintball tanks ( it was a government money making exercise, as you can get your tank approved  to be tested but required a 10,000 government fee to be paid)

Might just have to fork out for a new one methinks.

Why dont you just send it here to Oz? There's heaps of dive shops that will hydro your tank. I just did mine and it costs me $50 for another 5 yrs.

If you need a quick hydrostatic test for your cylinder, you can send it to me and we can arrange appointment for pick up at Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, Klang, Astaka or nearby. Same goes for after hydrotest. The test will be conducted by a cylinder service company which served the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy for their safety and survival equipments.  For each test, the cylinder will be labeled as below and will be given certification completion of work.

The price for the each test is RM200.00 only and it will take maximum 5 working days either single cylinder or per team cylinders (depending on volume).

As my Dye Throttle gas tank, it had undergone crack or leakage on the tank via fiber optic light, high pressure test at 7500psi via water jacket test and more.  This is to measure the REE: Rejection Elastic Expansion. As you can see on the picture, it showed REE: 12.9(when ever, the gas is filled, the tank expanded). If after the result more than 12.9, it means the tank is obsolete. Mine just 3.5. Eventually, it will undergone cleaning and drying process.
